We are thrilled to announce that Nordia Community Centre has once again been recognised as the best community centre in Northern Finland by the Finnish Association of Community Organisations. The award celebrates our work across education, social services, and multicultural integration.
Our Open University programme has seen its highest ever enrolment this spring, with 340 new students joining programmes in Humanities, Health Sciences, Business, and Education. Applications for September 2026 are now open.
From June 2026, Nordia will offer a free, no-appointment mental health drop-in service every Tuesday afternoon. Staffed by qualified counsellors, the service is open to all Oulu residents regardless of membership status.
Our beloved annual Summer Festival is back! Join us on Midsummer's Eve for a full day of live music, food stalls, craft workshops, and community performances. Free entry for all Nordia members; tickets available for non-members.
Following overwhelming demand, our Tech for Seniors programme is expanding with six new weekly classes covering smartphones, video calling, online banking, and staying safe online. All classes are free for members over 65.
Nordia's multicultural integration programme has now supported over 1,000 newcomers to Oulu since its launch in 2016. The milestone was celebrated with a community gathering attended by participants from over 40 countries.
